Adapting Instruction for ELL and Students with Special Needs
This photo shows one way that color coding is one way that I created adaptations for ELL and Students with Special Needs. This is important because it shows one method that I frequently use to help my students to better understand the material that I am teaching them. The class in which this photo was taken consists of mostly ELL and students with various special needs, which is why I chose to just make these adaptations for the entire class on the slides that I used for the entire class.
Reflection of Strategy Toolbox
The Strategy Toolbox below is a compilation of various teaching strategies useful for helping students to learn mathematical concepts and developing mathematical literacy. These teaching strategies are important because they can be used to help students to understand various mathematical concepts or mathematical terminology in ways that are not typical to class instruction, providing another way for students to develop these valuable skills if they are struggling to effectively develop these skills through standard classroom instructional methods.
